EHS - X-Ray Technician

We are looking for exceptional agency X-Ray Technician to join our team in Dekalb County Jail in Decatur GA for a contracted position.

• Prepare room, calibrate equipment, and prepare medicine and materials for patients undergoing procedures in a correctional healthcare setting
• Clean and disinfect room and equipment
• Prepare patient for procedures, explain procedures, transfer patients to equipment, position patients as appropriate to the specific procedure, and assist patient at the end of procedures
• Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays; adjust equipment; determine proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time; arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient; adjust lead shield; select proper film
• Observe patient and machine during procedures and report unusual occurrences and record patient’s condition

• Current state license as an X-Ray Technologist
• ARRT Certification
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check
