We are looking for exceptional agency Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to join our team at Franklin County Jail in Columbus, OH for both short and long-term contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct patient care procedures and related tasks
  • Assist in obtaining patient histories, take vital signs, prepare charts, and assist with medical examinations
  • Assist doctors in examining and treating patients
  • Perform routine procedures under established protocols, to include but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG’s, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections
  • Maintain and stock medicines and medical supplies as necessary
  • Practice safety, environmental and infection control methods

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in and EKG
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
